One Island Announce Debut Single “He Pa’ina” Out October 15.”
One Island’s highly anticipated debut single “He Pa’ina” will be officially available on all digital platforms on Oct 15, 2020!
Already receiving airplay in the UK and quickly amassing a global audience, LA’s top recording engineer helped bring out the song’s retro 40s-60s vibe, paying homage to Hawaii’s own Alfred Apaka. It is reminiscent of old Hawaii’s Jazz and Swing era but with a modern twist.
The song is addictive, fun-filled and makes you want to get up and dance! Especially in these depressing times of Covid-19, “He Pa’ina,” which translates to “A Party” in Hawaiian, reminds people to be happy and live life to the fullest. There is a party waiting at the end of the rainbow.
“Working with Keahi and Kauka is a very rewarding experience every time. These guys capture the authentic Polynesian sound like nobody else…makes me wanna pack up my stuff and hit the surf!”
– Alan Sanderson, Recording Engineer, Pacific Beats Recording Studio (Alan has recorded: Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Madonna, B.B. King, The Doors, Counting Crows, Elvis Costello, Ricky Martin, Ziggy Marley, and Weezer)
Written by lead singer Keahi Rozet, he is originally from Wai’anae, Hawai’i, and now resides in beautiful San Diego. His gift for songwriting started at an early age which proved to be invaluable as he won local competitions and later performed on the Food Network Channel singing his hit song “Anthem to Musubi.”
Ukulele sensation Kauka Stanley of San Diego, has collaborated on projects with organizations such as the San Diego Symphony and Los Angeles Philharmonic. He is also the Music Director of Heali’i’s Polynesian Revue, a Polynesian dance company that has been in existence since 1967.
Keahi and Kauka are premier entertainers who have been featured by Royal Carribean, Funko, COMIC-CON International, LegoLand, and Seaworld, to name a few. They met at a Hawaiian music festival in 2017 and have been playing together ever since. People describe One Islandʻs synergy as infectious, having too much fun, inspiring, and original. Unlike many other bands who stick to one genre, their music is more 50 shades of play – a fresh sound that seduces the ear.
